Thank you for your interest in applying for the Cherry Blossom Queen Program. Applications for the 2022 Program are now open. The application deadline is 5:00pm PT, Friday, November 5, 2021.
Please note that due to the circumstances surrounding the pandemic, the maximum age has been increased to 27 just for the 2022 application cycle. The maximum age will go back down to 26 for the 2023 application cycle.
There are two parts to the application.
Part 1 of the application will collect basic contact information such as name, email, and phone number. We encourage you to fill out Part 1 of the application as soon as possible to indicate your interest in the program.
In Part 2, applicants will submit a short written speech, personal statement, resume, letter of recommendation, and recent photo.

Some of the qualifications to be eligible to apply as a candidate for the Northern California Cherry Blossom Court are as follows:
– be a female of at least 19 years of age and not more than 27 years of age by the first festival weekend in April
– be of at least 50% Japanese ancestry
– have been or currently an active participant/volunteer in a community organization
– have been a resident of Northern California for at least 2 or 3 years, depending on citizenship
